We were staying nearby with family that had flown in from Jersey. What a treat this place was! It was quiet since it was early in the day and off season, so we had the pleasure of talking to the owner. She was wonderful and recommended the Philly Cheesesteak, which was just how they make it back East. Everything we had was delicious, can't recommend this restaurant enough!

The food was pretty good and the server was excellent. She was very accommodating. She offered to split my entree for my mom and I. We ordered an appetizer and the chicken ptarmigan. The pic attached was just my share of the split. It was so much I couldn’t finish it. Also we didn’t get charged more for them splitting our plates. Pricing is moderate.

A handy location just off the highway, great food, cozy atmosphere, attentive wait staff, and even live country music! We will be back every time we visit the Island Park area. Kevin and Debbie run a great business!

Oh my gosh, this was the BEST meal we've had during our stay in Island Park. I had the marsala chicken, my husband has the strip steak, and my 18 month old had the buttered noodles. The food was so fresh, flavorful, and hearty. The salad dressings are house-made -- we got the huckleberry vinaigrette. Insanely tasty stuff -- and I typically avoid berry dressings. I want to drink a pint of that dressing. We didn't get dessert (omg so full...still at our table lol), but I KNOW it'd be phenomenal. Honestly...just come here lol you will seriously NOT be disappointed.

Felt like we'd landed back in Georgia with good ole Southern Hospitality but Idaho style. Greeted @ the door and welcomed by full family staff. Excellent service & food followed. Restuarant seemed spotless with great Mt Ambiance. Highly recommend a visit to this establishment

Beautiful place with an authentic Idaho outdoorsy feel (see pics). Food and pricing were great, but the service is what was really exceptional. We came in at the last minute with a party of 10. They kept the restaurant open to accommodate us, and we got first rate service; including drink service and a customized dessert. If the restaurant had Hwy 20 visibility, they'd never have an open seat (if you aren't a local, you might not find this place). Try it out now; you'll be glad you did.

Great cozy restaurant with excellent food. The flat iron steak was tender and cooked perfectly to oder with fresh veggies and a sidesalad+homemade dressing. Pricing wasn't excessive for a restaurant in '25, either, especially for a vacation destination. The owner was really kind as well!

We always stay at the cabins here at the pines once a year. The restaurant had been closed for a while and it finally opened. It was my first time trying it. It is more expensive but we really enjoyed it and I’d eat here again next time we visit. We met the owner and she was very nice. We had a great waitress as well. My mom and I ordered the fried pickles and they were excellent. They came with fry sauce, I was so happy this restaurant had fry sauce. My mom ordered a salad which she enjoyed. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with fries. Our waitress and the owner suggested that and said that is what they are known for and it was so good! It was a great recommendation. The portions were filling as well.
